Hi folks! Although I've been dropping in once in a while (and it'll be like that for...well, probably forever!) I've not taken time out to say a fromal "Hello!". So, "Hello!"

I'm formally trained in Biochemistry (which I can still spell - but only just!), and now work in IT and spend most of my working days drawing pictures and answering emails in a chaotic, changing world! My favourite quote wrt my role is "An Architect's job is making sub-optimal decisions mostly in the dark!" It keeps the wolf from the door, though.

With regard to poetry and literature - I have no formal background, I've dabbled in the past and have only relatively recently become aware of the various formal (and not so formal!) approaches. I lean to the formal end as it resonates with the logical nature of the work I am paid for...so, completing a structure such as a Sonnet feels more like solving a crossword puzzle than it does an expression of emotion or an outpouring of feeling.

Anyway, thats me for now! See you in another year, perhaps?

regards

DF
