Yikes...
Okay, this has the Terza Rima's rhyming scheme throughout. Each tercet is a Haiku's 5-7-5 syllables. The finish is the Tanka's paired 7-syllable lines. The length is not fixed, by the way, just as a Terza Rima does not have a fixed length.

Early Spring Aside

bitter wind outside
whipping in the new-leafed trees
feeds an urge to hide

more than a mild breeze
branches twist and dance aloft
cold enough to freeze

contrasts as so oft
outside a blustery day
inside warm and soft

no voices calling away
nowhere else to be today

It's always unpredictable when someone gets my brain going.

There's one I haven't done yet - have to figure out what a "no renga" is first.

Edited to add: Okay, looks like the Renga is normally collaborative, involving more than one person. Since the one source listed it as alternating 3-line and 2-line stanzas (or ku), that also would be a bit of a crunch in a combination with a Villanelle. I think I'm going to give that one a pass.

Aaargh! This was sooooo hard. The poem is rather short and the last two lines make me feel a bit queasy but hey  Rolling Eyes

snuggle down in bed
listen to the drum of rain
pillow under head

childhood dreams again
drifting off as sky grows dark
wind on window pane

thoughts remain so clear and stark
once happy times left their mark

Of course, mine was only one tercet longer.

It's interesting to tinker with, but I think you'd have to be in just the right mood to make it work.

Oh my gawd, I see you have to be very careful what you wish for around here! EEK!!! Okay, can't do one right now as my brain  is too squawked, but I'm up for the challenge, and will be back soon!

Shocked

Steve.

Right - poor lad's in a state of shock, no doubt. Someone took him seriously.

A state of shock and now a state of exhaustion too, not to mention some mild toxicosis from drinking too much diesel this afternoon (yes, I do mean diesel!). I'll be back to attempt some of these things if and when some basic functions return.

Steve.

Very nice! Terza Rima.  I haven't thought about that since college.

Nicely done, Boardflank.

Yes! Please tuck into some of the game threads, Rosa. If the idea behind each isn't clear from the last posts, the first post of the thread should explain.

Um, Steve ... you are aware that diesel is not normally considered fit for human consumption, right?
